| Bachman's is a family-owned, premier floral, garden, and giftware retailer in the Minneapolis, MN. It is known for its iconic purple signature color and quality service across numerous locations in the Twin City area. Founded in 1885, by Henry Bachman, Sr., Bachman's is also the original parent company of Department 56, which was established in 1976. The Department 56 name is drawn from the actual accounting number of the import category in the then Bachman accounting system. | ||||||||
| In 1984, Bachman's took Department 56 public and in 1992 sold to Forstmann-Little & Company of New York. Bachman's employee, Ed Bazinet, became the President of the company that has long been recognized as the leader in the Christmas Village industry. | ||||||||
